Parent To Do Checklist For This Week
- 2024 Marching Band families- Please see below to be sure you have completed all registration requirements up to this point.
- Attend the Booster Meeting this Tuesday, March 12th 7pm; HS Large Commons
- Order Spring Flowers; Flowers will arrive week before Mother’s Day. The details on how to order are below. We are also in need of volunteers to help sort and distribute the flowers. Details on how to help are below.
- Sign up to volunteer for After Prom. Donations are needed as well. Please see below for details.

We will be voting to elect the next Booster Executive Committee on April 30th. We are pleased to announce that the following individuals are running for the listed positions.

After Prom- Volunteers/Donations Requested
HELP WANTED!
Every year the band hosts the tattoo parlor for our juniors and seniors at After Prom. We are in need of candy, temporary tattoos and monetary donations. Monetary donations will be used to purchase additional needed items and decorations. The Amazon Wish List link provided below contains our most popular tattoos from last year as well as some candy options.
We are also in need of volunteers to help decorate and run the band’s Tattoo Shop during After Prom. We could use both parents and students to help decorate and set up the evening before prom on Friday, April 26th During After Prom on Saturday April 27th we need parent volunteers. Students may not volunteer Saturday during the After Prom per the school policy. Please sign up at the link below if you are interested in helping.

MHS Recital Night Information
Recital night is coming up very soon! We are looking forward to the performances:
- March 18th → Woodwinds
- March 19th → Brass/Percussion

Soloists: If you are utilizing a Mason-provided accompanist, please check your email from Mr. Jackson for this week’s rehearsal schedule. Please be on time for your rehearsals, as there are not any extra time slots available.
Congratulations To Concerto Competition Participants
Congratulations to all of our students who performed in the Concerto Competition this past week! All of the performances by Sammy, Nolan, Matthew, Kieran, Hari and Izzy were fantastic! This year’s winner, Izzy, will perform on the April 23rd Wind Symphony Concert with the band. This year’s runner up, Nolan, will perform in the concert as well with his pianist accompanying him. Congratulations again to all!
Thanks For Joining Us At Taste Of Mason
Thanks to everyone who came out this past Wednesday for the Taste of Mason. It was a wonderful time to eat some yummy food, enjoy fantastic performances, and to connect with others in our community. Our Jazz Band 1 and Winter Drumline impressed the audience with their talents during the event and put on a wonderful show.

Thanks Everyone for your help with this event! We appreciate your help ensuring the future of the Mason Band Program remains strong. The 5th grade families love meeting current band students and hearing about your experiences!

Save The Date: Booster Meeting March 12th
Please join us for our upcoming booster meeting on March 12th at 7pm in the High School Large Commons. We will be introducing our Executive Committee candidates for the 2024/2025 school year, explaining all the steps involved in the marching band registration process, and much more.
New System To Replace Charms
Charms, the system we utilize for student data, communication, inventory tracking, and volunteer sign-ups, and much more, has been bought out by a new company. Our current contract with Charms will end on May 3rd. Booster leaders and the band directors are working to transition the band to a new system. This means that some aspects of the registration process for both the marching band and the concert bands will be different for this upcoming school year. It may also impact students currently enrolled including Seniors. It is yet to be determined if current students will need to take steps in order to continue to receive communication from the band through the end of this school year. It will be critical that EVERY band family reads all upcoming communication very carefully. This will ensure everyone understands and completes all relevant action steps in a timely manner. More details and an announcement of what system we will be using is coming soon once we have made our final selection.

- Mini Band Camp: June 3-7
- Percussion/Guard Camp: June 17-21 (Percussion and Guard students ONLY)
- Start of Band Camp: July 22nd
