Pep Band Information (24-25)
We are excited to get our Pep Band season started! Pep band is a great way to play some fun music with your friends, while supporting our school and community.
This year, each member of Concert Winds, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony will again be responsible for three basketball games as part of their grade for the Spring Semester. There is a sign-in sheet at all games to receive credit for performing. Students in Concert White, Green and Silver are not required to attend, but are always welcome!
There are two groups, Pep Band A and B. Please check the attached list for your assignment this year, and compare with the schedule. Each member should arrive at the MMS ARENA by 7:00 PM. You can be dropped off, or park in back of MMS at the arena entrance. You do not have to pay ticket admission, and will let the ticket station know that you are in the pep band for entry. Cases can be stored in the MMS Band Room. The games are typically done around 9:15 PM. Doors are unlocked at MHS for instrument pickup drop off from: 6:30-7:00 PM and 9:00-9:30 PM
PEP BAND SCHEDULE OF GAMES: CLICK HERE
PEP BAND A/B ROSTERS: CLICK HERE
Only includes students in the three bands listed above. Concert White, Silver, Green students are welcome at any game on the schedule!
SCHEDULE CONFLICTS
If you have a conflict with one of the games, it is your responsibility to arrange a trade with a student from another pep band, on your same instrument. All students must attend two games, so you will trade with that student for one of their pep band games. When you sign in to pep band games, please note if you are subbing for another student.
The directors tried to group students with their siblings and friends when possible while trying to keep each pep band balanced with enough of each instrument. Please let Mr. Hinson know if you have any questions about your assignment.
QUESTIONS?
Mr. Hinson and Mr. Rex will be helping organize the music and lead the pep bands this year. We are still looking for student leaders to help organize and lead Pep Band this year, so if you are interested please email Mr. Hinson and Mr. Rex. This is a great senior project idea for Wind Symphony students!
Please email Mr. Hinson and Mr. Rex if you have any questions about Pep Band. We are looking forward to seeing all of you soon!
