Register now so you don’t miss the 2020 Marching Band Show Reveal this Thursday. This is a free event sponsored by Mason Band Boosters. Students will receive a green ticket during supply pick-up that must be visible in your car to enter the event. More information is in the Mini-Camp email from Mr. Sleppy.
BAND AID/CHAPERONE INTEREST AND TRAINING
Now is your chance to volunteer if you are interested in chaperoning! During Marching Band season, whether you are a parent of a musician or guard student, we are all one team working together to support all of our students. Both Chaperones and Band Aids provide care for our students both during long events (extended rehearsals and football games) at Mason and when the band travels and competes. If you are new to Marching Band, this is your first step to demonstrate interest in joining us to care for our students. If you would like to chaperone for the Marching Band, Concert Band or Winter Guard, this is the window to express interest and complete the training process. Please complete this interest form so we can help find a good fit for everyone.
Chaperone/ New Band Aid Interest Form: https://forms.gle/SBXsxSLiroUU4tcw5
Note: If you have already completed the returning Band Aid survey, there is no need to complete this interest form. We have you noted!
This year we are offering a series of training opportunities for our team responsible for Student Health and Wellness--Chaperones and Band Aids are on the front lines of that team. We will start with virtual and on-line opportunities and evaluate where we are for the second round of training in July to ensure everyone is trained and ready to support our students.
There will be two opportunities to complete your annual Band Aid Chaperone/Required Training. The first is coming up on June 2, 2020--7pm (Virtual Meeting). The second opportunity will be the week prior to Band Camp in July.

MASON LEVY PROTECTION UPDATE
Band family - you stepped up in a big way and were a big part of the reason that voters overwhelmingly approved the Mason Schools levy this spring. Many of you may remember signing petitions to protect 8 previous levies early this year. Now we are looking to protect the new levy in the same way. Under OH law, school opponents can hurt our Mason Quality by filing petitions to reduce the levy. You can help Protect Our Schools by signing the Petition to Protect at the drive-through Marching Band Supply Pickup on Monday, June 1 - 1-4pm in the bus circle (alumni and recent grads welcome) or Mason for Kids volunteers will be available at the Drive-In Reveal before the pre-show. Mason For Kids volunteers will be wearing Green Mason Quality shirts and have clean pens to sign to protect the March 17th levy. Signing the petition takes less than 10 seconds!
Any questions, please contact our Performing Arts Levy Chair, Bill Wilkinson bwilky67@cinci.rr.com
