Band Notes for the week of September 25th, 2017

Thank you to all who helped our band this weekend, including our travel team, chaperones, band aides, pit crew, guard moms and uniform team! Your hard work is greatly appreciated!

Cutting & Sewing Volunteers Needed!

As many of you know, the costume that the Color Guard wore in Toledo is not our costume for our current show. Hopefully it will arrive soon! In the meantime, we need to construct a second piece for the costume. For this project we need many hands in order for this garment to be ready for our next competition. This coming Saturday, Sept 30 we need volunteers to cut and pin fabric together. We will take any help you can offer during the band practice from 9a-5p. We have also contacted some alumni from the sewing committee so hopefully it will be a fun way to reconnect with those parents. Please respond to colorguard@masonbandboosters.com if you can lend a hand. Once we find out how many are willing we will send an update to the location. The following weekend we will begin sewing the garment in an assembly line fashion.

Home Football Game Concessions

There are still a few volunteer positions open for the two remaining Friday night football concessions. As a reminder, each family is required to volunteer for two positions during the season. Thank you for your help with this!

Chaperone Help Needed

Check out Charms for sign-ups for both home and away football games. We have a lot of fun at these games so please join us. A current background check is required to sign up. If you want to become a Chaperone, and we REALLY need you, please contact Jane Johnson at Mason City Schools, (513) 398-0474 ext #20143.

We are in desperate need of Chaperones who can go to Grand Nationals in Indianapolis.

Attention Seamstresses and Pinterest Enthusiasts!

Do you like to sew and craft? The Spirit Committee needs your help to make spirit flags for this year’s show. Spirit flags will match the theme of the show and be available for purchase by anyone who wants to show their Mason Marching Band Spirit. Parents like to wave them in the stands and students like to have a flag from each year they participate in marching band as a souvenir of that year’s show.
