Band Notes for the week of October 2nd, 2017

As a reminder, the Board is comprised of the President, Vice President, Vice President of Fundraising, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Travel Secretary, and Public Information Officer.

Mason Invitational: Sign-ups Live in Charms!

The Mason Band Invitational is Saturday, October 21st, and we need your help!

Our Invitational reputation precedes us, as bands love coming to our facility because we run a very organized event, and visitors feel welcomed and well taken care of...we need all hands on deck in order to make this happen! We are looking forward to another successful Invitational!

There is major setup/prep before any of the bands arrive on Saturday, so you will see shifts starting as early as 6:30 am in some areas. Shifts continue throughout the day, ending with cleanup at the end of the evening, which starts right after the second awards ceremony.

Marching Uniforms

A HUGE thank you to all the volunteers who signed-up and took marching uniforms home for washing last week. Everything came back looking and smelling GREAT!

As a follow-up to the Uniform 101 class, marchers will attend Uniform 201 on Thursday afternoon at 2:30, just prior to rehearsal and homecoming parade. This class will review uniform standards, handling and personal ownership. Uniform volunteers who are available and would like to learn more about “how uniforms work” are welcome to attend.

Message from Jets Pizza, a Feed the Band sponsor

Jets Pizza is currently hiring and looking for workers that would be interested in working anywhere from 8-15 hours per week (two to three 4-5 hour shifts) between 9:00am and 2:30pm. These types of shifts may be perfect for moms that want to make a few extra bucks without infringing on their children's activities.

We also have several openings for junior and senior students that are looking for a job and would be interested in working 8-13 hours per week between 4:00pm and 7:30pm.

We are extremely flexible from a scheduling standpoint.

I would appreciate it if you could pass this information along to anybody that may be interested.
