Winter Guard Championships- April 7th

The Winter Guard competition season came to a close with the MEPA circuit Championships at the Nutter Center on Saturday. Both MHS and MMS Winter Guards attended the event. The MMS teams were allowed to participate in exhibition in lieu of their Tristate Championships that were cancelled due to weather. Both of these teams have come so far since December. Great job girls!

The MHS JV show, Unbridled, earned the reputation as a crowd favorite and we heard that comment from many fans during the day. They also added a silent feature in their show to increase their difficulty which surprised many. MHS JV came in 7th in a very competitive 11 team field which included many high school varsity squads. The MHS Varsity performed their show, Signal, and improved their score in the MEPA Open class circuit by 15 points. They earned second place and received medals during the full retreat.

Thank you to the Booster Board members, parents and students that came to support the Winter Guard. We are appreciative of all the well wishes and kind posts. Thank you to all the WG parents for volunteering over and above to help these students have a wonderful and very successful season.

Mason Marching Band Fall Color Guard Tryouts

Tryouts will be held Monday, April 16th – Thursday April 19th, 3-6pm at MHS.

Students should plan on attending all tryout days for best chance of making the fall team.
A large number of students are expected to audition for a limited number of fall guard positions
All students will need to sign up for auditions on Google forms https://goo.gl/forms/YS59OLSS4F5mGi603. An additional form will be emailed to the auditioning student which must be printed off, signed by a parent and brought to the auditions on the first day.

After Prom: Donations Still Needed!

This year the Band Boosters will be hosting the Harry Potter-themed room at After Prom, on Saturday, April 21!

We are in need of a few more donations in order to transform our area! We also need help with the area during After Prom.

Donations and volunteer opportunities are in Charms. If you would like to help with After Prom, or have any questions, please email afterprom@masonbandboosters.com .
