AMAZING PERFORMANCES THIS PAST WEEK!

The high school was filled this past week with the beautiful sounds of music.  Concert Green, Concert Silver, Concert Winds, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony all put on spectacular Spring concerts.  Those who attended on Tuesday night were treated to extra special performances by Kotaro Fujiwara on clarinet, Julia Bradley on Oboe, and Jacob Kraimer on Trombone.  The level of talent the students in our band program possess is simply outstanding.  Great job to all of the performers!

AFTER PROM THANK YOU!

Thanks to everyone who helped the band’s Danger Zone Tattoo Parlor to be a huge success! It was wonderful to see all the kids having so much fun. We could not have done it without a small army of unbelievable volunteers.

Special thanks to Julie Chaney and Natalie Brady who made the centerpieces and balloon clouds.  They also made themselves available to bounce ideas off of throughout the planning process.  Thanks to all the many volunteers who helped set up the space in record time on Friday night!  Alex Riley and Caitlyn Bishop, you were both rockstars staying after school a few extra hours to help set up for your older classmates. Caryn Weckstein, the tattoos you designed were so much fun!  The Bobby Dodd tattoo in particular was the most sought after of the night.  Lisa Riley, the sign you made was perfect!  To those of you who volunteered to stay up into the wee hours of the night to run the shop and help tear everything down, thank you just doesn’t seem like enough.  Some of you even volunteered both Friday and Saturday or worked double shifts.  It also would not have been possible without the monetary support and the donations of tattoos/supplies by several parents.  Thank you Mr. Hinson for allowing us to use your projector and DVD player so we could play the Top Gun movie. Thanks to all of the directors for supporting everything we do. Mindy Patton, as always, you went the extra mile by lending out many of your personal things and letting us borrow items from the Mason School’s Foundation closet.  Michael, thank you for doing whatever was asked of you from start to finish. Hopefully everyone was able to catch up on their rest today. Thanks again!
